Getting Started

Your first AI employee

From Founding 10 selection to a useful recurring responsibility, with personal setup included and $499/month paid from the first month.

Build an AI team for your company

Apply for the Founding 10 with one recurring responsibility and a measurable result. We personally help selected companies connect their tools and put an AI employee to work.

The first 10 selected companies pay $499/month from the first month, including personal account and AI employee setup with Shashank Agarwal. Payment is required before onboarding and workspace use. There is no free trial. Model and tool charges are separate. It includes one workspace and up to five active employees, including the Chief of Staff. Required foundation employees also count toward the five; the current foundation includes a Company Architect alongside the Chief of Staff.

Your model provider, premium APIs and other connected services may charge separately. Normal tasks, chats and scheduled runs are not separately metered by Yodu. Hosted runtime and storage remain subject to fair use. We verify supported model-account access during setup; an existing consumer subscription is not a promise of unlimited API access.

1. Create your company

If your application qualifies, we email a Calendly link to book a setup call with Shashank Agarwal. He helps connect your tools, configure employee roles and review the first task. Create your workspace and choose the $499 monthly plan. Workspace owners can subscribe directly without submitting a Founding application or waiting for selection or workspace linking. Enter any promotion code at Stripe Checkout before confirming. Payment activates workspace access before onboarding starts. There is no charge merely for applying or creating an account.

Tell your Chief of Staff:

Here is my company: [products, customers and current process]. Help me set up an employee responsible for [recurring job]. After 30 days, success means [measurable result]. Start by drafting a plan for my review.

Add product information, customer definitions, operating policies and example outputs. Upload useful documents through Files. Never paste passwords, API keys or subscription tokens into chat or company documents.

2. Connect intelligence

Use the workspace model settings for a supported provider connection. Confirm it is configured, choose an available model and complete a small test task. Model-provider and subscription limits are separate from Yodu's price. See Model access.

3. Add tools and permissions

Use Connecting a tool safely to connect only the accounts and capabilities the responsibility needs. Start with Draft only or Ask first. Tool access and permission mode are separate: enabling a connection does not mean every action should be autonomous.

4. Review the employee before activating it

Ask the Chief of Staff to propose a name, responsibility, instructions, required tools, escalation rules, recurring schedule and expected report. Review the proposal. Define what the employee should do when evidence is missing, access fails or a customer asks for an exception.

Five active employees includes foundation employees. Paused or archived employees do not occupy an active slot; resuming an employee requires an available slot. Existing customers are not automatically moved to the founding plan.

5. Verify one complete responsibility

  1. Assign a real, bounded task.
  2. Inspect its evidence and generated file.
  3. Prepare a harmless external action and verify that Ask first pauses for your decision.
  4. Reject once with useful feedback and verify the employee responds appropriately.
  5. Approve the corrected action only if it is ready to execute.
  6. Add a recurring schedule, check its timezone and next run, and verify the first scheduled result.
  7. Open the overview: confirm completed work, blocked work and approvals are visible.

6. Review results and keep improving

Your onboarding owner records the first useful result and the 30-day success metric, then marks the workspace live. Your subscription is already active from the first month and renews monthly until canceled. Manage your subscription from workspace billing settings.

Plan for 60–90 minutes of initial setup and 10–15 minutes of daily review during the first week. Review time should decrease as the responsibility becomes reliable. Tell your onboarding owner whether work was useful, partially useful or not useful, and what should change.

Use Claude or Codex with Yodu

Connect Platform MCP to use supported Yodu tools from Claude or Codex. The connection has no additional Yodu fee. Assistant subscriptions, model usage and third-party services remain separate. MCP can inspect employees, create tasks and manage supported settings; billing and approval decisions remain in Yodu.

Your daily review

Start with Needs your attention, then inspect recent completed work and files. Read failures instead of assuming a quiet employee succeeded. Pause a failing schedule while access or instructions are repaired. Review model and tool consumption when expanding the work.
